ANKLA Sign With BIELER BROS. RECORDS

ANKLA, the Los Angeles-based band led by former PUYA guitarist Ramón Ortíz, have inked a deal with Bieler Bros. Records. The group's debut album is tentatively expected later in the year. In the meantime, check out an ANKLA song entitled "Deceit" at this location.

ANKLA — which consists of Ortíz, Ikaro Stafford on vocals, José Clark on drums, Edgar González on bass and Oscar Santiago on percussion — has shared the stage with such bands as BRUJERIA, BODY COUNT, SIX FEET UNDER and HATEBREED, among others. The band spent several months in the studio working with producer Bob Marlette (BLACK SABBATH, IOMMI, HALFORD, EVANESCENCE),although it's not presently clear if any of those sessions will make it to the upcoming CD.
